Welcome!
Welcome to Sting Writer! Thank you for showing an interest in my work. Please take a moment to read the latests news, where I post upcoming productions as well as major changes to the site.

On this site you will find my interactive resume, details on selected plays, a gallery of my artwork, and my shop. Once you've taken a look around, please feel free to sign my guestbook and let me know what you think.  I also have a blog, Writing With Thorns, available for your entertainment, should you choose to venture into such dangerous areas. Thanky you all!

Writing With Thorns

24 May 2008 12:35am

I received word last night from one of the competitions I put my submission in for, EstroGenius Festival, accepted me as a finalist.  Whilst I was not selected for the festival itself, they have assured me that this is "merely to do with programming considerations that the merit of the individual work."  Well I think that after the last two years of getting no where that boosts my confidence just a little bit.  Thanks, guys!  Hrm, can put that on my resume?  Don't see why not, I did LamiaInk (but then, a reading went with that).  Still makes me feel good.  Now we'll just have to wait and see how my babies are doing elsewhere!

Okay, so I removed my reviews section. I still haven't found my clipboard and let's face it, with my new job I just don't have the energy. Besides, I broke down and get myself a blog so I'll just put anything of note there.  If I even use it, that is.

In better news, my mask 'Lost at Sea' has been posted by the kind people on the Decemberists website.  By Miss Carson Ellis, actually, I was so thrilled.  I've saved her e-mail.  Is that terribly pathetic of me?  But it warms my heart to think that the people we so admire are actually the ones running things over there.  So that's this month's news.  I'll see y'all again when I have something else trivial to report.

There will be held on Saturday, 24 February a Cheese and Wine party during which Will Cole will be reading his short play 'The Blind Date of Frankenstein' and I will be reading my ten page play, 'I Am Berlin.'  The event will be hosted by Will Cole at his home in Kalamazoo.  Please e-mail us for directions.

I bought this bloody website which is taking up all my time and driving me crazy. Will I finish my finals? We think not...

I enjoyed a great success of my Directorial debut with scenes from Quills at the York Arena Theatre with my fellow directing students. The evening was quite a hit. Thank you Prescott, Patrick and Danielle!
